The Fretters

We are The Fretters, a London-based band playing klezmer tunes and other traditional music.

We will be sharing our thoughts here about the new pieces we are discovering in the KMDMP archive.

Dena and Alasdair, fiddle and guitar

What we play

Klezmer dance tunes and nigunim, Irish and Scottish dance tunes, the occasional planxty, a little bit of ragtime, and anything else we like
